When I visited my sister’s place for the weekend, my sister and I wanted to order a takeaway for us to enjoy.

She ordered a vegan burger with chips and a drink while I ordered a medium-rare beef burger with chips and milk tea from a bubble tea shop.

When the food arrived, I was excited and my sister and I thought why not watch a movie while enjoying our dinner, and so we did.

Everything was okay until the next day… which was horrid 😦
I don’t want to go into detail because, TMI (too much information).
I felt sick and was hot to the point I had to go outside with a glass of water.

Plus, I didn’t sleep properly until 7:00am in the morning.
For the rest of the day, I had to eat bland foods and rest but I had to pack because I had to go home that day with my sisters.
My sister felt a bit sick but hers wasn’t as bad as mine.
I later realised I had food poisoning…
from eating a medium-rare beef burger.

Ugh!
When I came home, I went straight to my bed and slept!
After that day, I had chicken with sweet potato fries for dinner and a few hours later…
I felt sick!
So, after that incident, I decided to not eat meat temporarily and let my body heal whenever how long.
When I had dreams of eating a dish that has meat, I woke up feeling a bit nauseous 😦
The beef burger has really scared me!
What do I eat instead?
For now, I eat meat-free foods (basically fake meat) with my meals.
I’m trying to be mindful when it comes to eating food and next time…
I need to be careful and stop ordering beef burgers.
